Girl Power

About Girl Power

Girl Power is a one-day STEM Expo held on APL’s campus designed for students to explore careers in STEM. Girl Power is aimed at elementary and middle school students and includes STEM demos and activities from APL staff members as well as from STEM organizations in our local community. APL STEM Program Management Office partners with community organizations Maryland Innovation Center, Howard County Development Authority, and Advancing Synergy to provide workshops during Girl Power.

Register

Girl Power will be held Saturday, March 1, from 2 to 5 p.m. in APL’s South Campus Building 201. Girl Power is a one-day STEM Expo held on APL’s campus designed for all elementary and middle school students, regardless of gender, to explore careers in STEM. The event includes STEM demos and activities from APL staff members as well as from STEM organizations in our local community. There will also be workshops offered with onsite registration.

All attendees must be registered. An adult must fill out the above registration and can bring up to 4 guests. If your group is larger than 5, fill out a second registration. Note, the second registration must be entered by a separate email address otherwise it will override the first registration. While the event is aimed at elementary and middle school students, all are welcome to register!
