Steven Storck

Dr. Steven Storck is a senior staff scientist with more than 10 years of experience in materials development for additive manufacturing and computational design. He currently leads an effort focused on laser-processing of nickel titanium shape-memory alloys for tailored actuation for deployable structures. Additionally, he leads several efforts to develop novel materials, including metal matrix composites and refractory metals using laser-processing techniques, topology optimization, and process modification for functional material enhancement. Additional areas of expertise include high-temperature materials, materials synthesis, metallurgy, multifunctional materials, stimulus-responsive materials, and topology optimization.
