Bio
BioDr. Mark Perry is a planetary scientist and participating scientist for analysis of Cassini Ion and Neutral Mass Spectrometer measurements of ions and neutrals in Saturn’s magnetosphere. He is also a system engineer for the OSIRIS-REx altimetry working group. His grant-funded research includes analysis of neutral measurements of the Enceladus plumes. Dr. Perry was a radio scientist for MESSENGER’s geophysics investigation of Mercury, working primarily to determine Mercury’s shape from radio occultations. He was also the science lead for planning observations by MESSENGER instruments, a mission system engineer for New Horizons and EO-1, an instrument engineer for energetic particle detectors and ultraviolet spectrometers, and a manager of small and large satellite programs.
