BioJames E. Kittelberger is the operations executive for the National Security Analysis Department (NSAD) of the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. He provides leadership and management of the business and administrative functions for the overall operation of the department of approximately 180 staff members. Mr. Kittelberger also acts as a senior advisor to the department head in the management of department resources and provides management oversight for all administrative operations, direct/indirect financial management, review and approval of department hiring, facility development and management, business management, and office space management. He serves as the senior advisor to the National Security Analysis mission area executive, determining effective resource requirements for program staff, as well as the prioritization and allocation of department resources. Previously, he served as NSAD’s Business Analysis and Operations Support Group supervisor. He has a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University of Maryland and a B.S. in business from Towson University. He completed the Harvard Kennedy School’s Senior Executives in National and International Security program in 2023.
