Bio
BioDr. Jacob Lustig-Yaeger’s research revolves around the characterization of terrestrial exoplanet atmospheres and their surfaces. Using atmospheric radiative transfer models and telescope instrument models, he simulates the observable signals of habitable, uninhabitable, and inhabited worlds to both predict and interpret spectroscopic and time-dependent astronomical data. He has a passion for working alongside instrument teams to develop telescope mission concepts that will enable robust habitability assessments and biosignature searches in the future.
