Bio
BioDr. David W. Blodgett is the chief scientist for the Research and Exploratory Development Department. In this role, he provides technical leadership across multidisciplinary programs and groups in the department to identify and promote technology development. His research focuses on the development of next-generation coherent optical sensors to provide enhanced performance in highly scattering and turbulent environments. Specifically, he leads multiple programs focused on noninvasive brain–computer interfaces (BCIs), neuroimaging, and health monitoring applications. In addition, he is the technical lead for programs that explore the use of coherent optical sensing for enhanced performance in space, airborne, and underwater environments.
