Bio
BioAnna Martin is a geologist with experience processing images and analyzing planetary data sets; managing data product generation pipelines; creating high-precision, geodetically controlled and photometrically corrected mosaics of high-interest lunar features; and analyzing images to better understand permanently shadowed regions (PSRs) in the lunar polar regions. At APL, she has created data products for NASA missions; supported development of the Small Body Mapping Tool (SBMT) with product and version releases; analyzed lunar Apollo samples in the Meteorite Lab; calibrated the Dragonfly Geophysics and Meteorology Package (DraGMet) instrument for the Dragonfly mission to Saturn's moon Titan in the ICELand Lab; and analyzed phase-ratio images in the Planetary Surface Textures Lab (PSTL). She particularly enjoys participating in public outreach events where she can share her knowledge about the Moon and NASA’s next steps for human exploration of the solar system.
