BioAndrew S. Driesman is the mission area executive for Civil Space Flight at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). A nationally recognized resource for program and organizational management as well as systems engineering of complex systems, Driesman leads a mission area that oversees APL civil space flight programs in development and operation. He has also served as the APL Space Exploration Sector’s managing executive, with responsibility for the performance and quality of the sector’s technical staff, products, and services. He has held numerous program leadership roles, including on the highly successful Parker Solar Probe program, a mission currently exploring the atmosphere of our Sun, and was technical director of the Joint Polar Satellite System. Driesman has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and geological sciences from Tufts University and a master’s degree in technical management from the Johns Hopkins University and has published on a variety of technical and management topics.
