BioDr. Thomas A. Metzger is a senior scientist whose research focuses on fusing experimental and computational approaches to characterize and mitigate human injury, from human body-to-cellular constituents. His recent work includes acute and chronic injury characterization, novel injury mitigation systems development, and advanced, human models of injury and health. He teaches the Biosolid Mechanics and Biomechanics of Cells and Stem Cells courses in the Johns Hopkins Engineering for Professionals program. His areas of expertise include mechanobiology, multi-scale modeling, threat analyses, and human performance analytics.
