BioMiguel Agramonte was appointed the managing executive for the Security Services Department at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory in October 2021. He leads a team of over 200 professionals who enable critical contributions to national security challenges for various national defense and intelligence agencies. Mr. Agramonte served 20 years in the United States Air Force and 15 years in the aerospace defense industry, holding various executive positions. Those areas include satellite secure communications, space offensive/defensive counterspace operations, secure information systems/networks, corporate security, human resources, and program management overseeing a $125 million profit-and-loss account supporting the U.S. Army’s Tactical Unmanned Air Systems portfolio. He also oversaw the Afghan Trainer Aircraft Maintenance contract, providing leadership to a cadre of U.S. and Afghan aircraft and powerplant mechanics maintaining Cessna AC-208 Combat/ ISR Caravan airplanes in Kabul, Afghanistan, through the sunsetting of U.S. military operations in August 2021. Mr. Agramonte holds a B.S. in information systems technology from Touro College in New York and has completed the Senior Executives in National and International Security Program at the Harvard Kennedy School.
