Bio
BioDr. Luke Currano is a senior engineer who has been conducting research on a wide variety of microscale and nanoscale devices for over 20 years. Since joining APL he has continued work on Micro-Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) as well as nanofabricated metasurface optics, grayscale microfabrication of conventional microoptics, fabrication of novel qubit devices, hardware security, and textile-based wearable sensors. His expertise includes significant depth in materials and process development for novel micro and nano devices, resulting in over 80 papers authored/coauthored and six patents granted to date.
