BioKyle Ott is an engineer and Principal Professional Staff member who leads a group of engineers and scientists conducting pioneering research in the mechanical structure and function of living systems, with a focus on revolutionizing warfighter resilience and performance. Mr. Ott’s research areas include noninvasive sensing devices for health applications, development of biofidelic surrogates used to assess human injury across a range of threats, and the study of the forces that biological systems experience and exert as a response to changes in their environment. Additional areas of expertise include biomaterials and polymer science, biomechanics, high-rate material characterization and testing, and nondestructive evaluation.
