Bio
BioKaty Carneal is an assistant program manager for Biological and Chemical Sciences whose expertise includes human biomechanics and injury prevention, with a focus on the evaluation of military protection systems for blast and ballistic impacts using both experimental and computational models. Her current work focuses on the creation of innovative new interdisciplinary research capabilities for human health, protection, and performance, which connect traditional biomechanics with functional models that can be used to study both short-term and long-term biological effects for a range of environmental or impact exposures.
