Jonathan B. Russ

Dr. Jonathan B. Russ is a computational mechanical engineer within APL’s Research and Exploratory Development Department. His research interests include novel topology optimization formulations for structural design problems and design optimization methods more generally. Recent projects have included developing a framework for structural optimization with graded lattice geometry and parametric design optimization of undersea pressure vessels. His areas of expertise include topology optimization, computational solid mechanics, and scientific software development.
