Bio
BioDr. Jon Vandegriff is a space physics data scientist whose background is in science analysis, with a strong focus on techniques and standards for heliophysics and planetary science data applications and data management. Dr. Vandegriff coordinated a grassroots effort in heliophysics to standardize data access across data centers, and he developed applications of machine learning to space weather prediction. He is currently working on cloud-based analysis techniques that enable open science to be done with large data volumes.
