Jesse S. Ko

Dr. Jesse S. Ko is a senior staff scientist who focuses on developing next-generation, safe, lithium-ion batteries and enabling water access. His recent project involves the development of novel anode materials, paired with energy dense cathodes, operating in a safe electrolyte. Dr. Ko also uses electrochemical techniques for seawater splitting to generate hydrogen and oxygen, and the breakdown of perfluorinated compounds present in contaminated water. Additional areas of expertise include materials synthesis, super capacitor technology, and materials characterization.
