BioJennifer Sleeman is a senior AI research scientist at APL and a research associate professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). Jennifer has been an active AI researcher since the early 2000s and has a Ph.D. in computer science from UMBC. She has performed research in AI for climate and weather since 2018. Jennifer’s latest work includes using deep learning for climate tipping point discovery and using deep learning methods for air quality forecasting, ensemble emulation, and wildfire emissions forecasting.
