Bio
BioDr. Jennifer M. Boothby is a senior biomaterials engineer whose expertise lies in the engineering interface between living and nonliving systems. She has worked on projects ranging from optically dynamic hydrogels and liquid-crystal polymers for soft robots to biohybrid devices and ceramics 3D printing. Her recent interest in coastal resilience has led to her involvement in several projects in marine biology and ecosystem engineering, including developing hydrogels for seeding coral reef structures, symbiotic fungal delivery to mangrove roots, and modeling hydrodynamics of oysters.
