BioDr. Griffin Milsap is a senior staff researcher whose research interests include developing novel, noninvasive electrophysiological and optical neural recording modalities, operationalizing existing brain–computer interface (BCI) technology, developing speech BCI approaches for locked-in syndrome using electrocorticography, and using mixed reality to augment and support all of the above. He also mentors students and teaches classes in BCI approaches through the Johns Hopkins University Engineering for Professionals program. Additional areas of expertise include computational neuroscience and neural modeling, human–AI teaming, human–machine teaming and interaction, and intelligent systems.
