Farrah O’Colman

Farrah O’Colman is the operations executive for the Information Technology Services Department (ITSD) at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). In this role, she leads the business, project management, enterprise applications, and unclassified operations functions of the 600-person department. Previously, she served as supervisor of ITSD’s program office group and was a key member of the department’s senior management and strategy teams, where she oversaw the entire enterprise IT portfolio of projects. She has made essential contributions to positively shaping the ITSD culture and work environment and has demonstrated transformational leadership in both supporting and leading initiatives that enable APL’s long-term IT strategies. O’Colman serves as the department’s representative on the Operations Forum. She has master’s degrees in business administration (MBA) and information management, both from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Indiana University.
