Bio
BioDr. Elizabeth “Lisa” Pogue is a senior scientist whose research focuses on the electronic properties of materials in a variety of applications. Her work synthesizing and characterizing new metals, alloys, and ceramics is at the intersection of physics, materials science, and chemistry. Understanding the role of defects and crystal structure in performance is a unifying principle of her work. Her areas of expertise include materials science and materials synthesis, and she has experience working with materials ranging from nanoparticles to thin films to bulk materials. Lately she has also been a key contributor to recent artificial intelligence for science work, developing high throughput synthesis and characterization techniques, developing datasets, and identifying interesting challenges.
