BioCarl Engelbrecht was the project manager for the Parker Solar Probe upper stage and the dual converter controller and the deputy program manager for the Europa Clipper and New Horizons missions. He has an extensive technical background in the analysis, design, procurement, and integration and test of a variety of electric and chemical space propulsion components and systems. His experience covers a wide range from launch vehicles to deep space probes, and he is familiar with many test and launch facilities around the world and their specific requirements. Engelbrecht has also worked on propulsion systems for the STEREO and ORS programs and several interplanetary spacecraft, including Galileo (Jupiter), Magellan (Venus), Cassini (Saturn), MESSENGER (Mercury), New Horizons (Pluto), Europa Clipper, CONTOUR, and Deep Space 1, as well as launch vehicle attitude control systems for Ariane 5 and Athena.
