Bradley Wing

Dr. Bradley Wing is a senior researcher specializing in ultrahigh-temperature ceramics for hypersonic applications. At the start of his career, he worked in industry, manufacturing and characterizing ceramic matrix composite materials. He then transitioned to vehicle integration of ceramic materials into hypersonic boost-glide systems. Dr. Wing currently acts as the chief for hypersonic materials, developing research strategies and ensuring mission-critical material needs are supported throughout the Lab. Additionally, he continues to support programs directly, leading material development activities and advanced ground testing (on phenomena such as arc jets) and providing materials expertise for hypersonic vehicle design and manufacturing.
