Bio
BioDr. Adrienn Luspay-Kuti is an interdisciplinary scientist studying the ionospheres and photochemistry of cold nitrogen-methane atmospheres (Titan, Pluto, and Triton) and comets and volatile trapping in the early solar system. She has extensive laboratory experience with cryogenic planetary environments including Titan laboratory simulations, data analysis of instruments on space missions, numerical modeling, and facilitating collaboration with various institutes on multiple topics.
Dr. Luspay-Kuti is the principal investigator for the Plasma Instrument for Magnetic Sounding (PIMS) on the Europa Clipper mission set to launch in October 2024. From 2014 to 2018, she was a science team member for the Rosetta Orbiter Spectrometer for Ion and Neutral Analysis (ROSINA) instrument on the Rosetta mission, and worked on ion beam calibration for use on the Cassini Ion and Neutral Mass Spectrometer (INMS).
