Gina Ellrich

Gina Ellrich is managing executive of the Communications Department of the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). An expert in strategic communications, she has served the Laboratory in a variety of integral communications roles since 2011. She most recently led the Public Affairs Office and two teams of technical editors. During her tenure, Ms. Ellrich has been a driving force in revolutionizing the Laboratory’s communications operations and elevating APL’s profile. Prior to joining APL, she served as vice president of Communications for the American Red Cross and as a lead communicator and spokesperson at the national headquarters for United Parcel Service (UPS). Ms. Ellrich holds bachelor’s degrees in public relations and French from Syracuse University.
