APL Colloquium

Colloquium Topic: The Ukraine Crisis: APL’s Analytical Capabilities in Action

THIS COLLOQUIUM IS CLASSIFIED SECRET - BADGES WILL BE CHECKED AT THE DOOR

THIS EVENT IS NOT RECORDED

In the months leading up to and then throughout the on-going Russian invasion of Ukraine, APL has been working hard to make sense of and learn lessons from the crisis. These efforts were partly to support our sponsors on the ground and partly to help provide key insights into what the indications of a future invasion might look like. This talk will cover some of the analysis conducted in NSAD and AOS, what we’ve learned, and how APL can be ready to help in the future.

Colloquium Speaker: Kathleen Rowen

Dr. Kathleen Rowen is the program manager for JHU/APL’s Intelligence Operations portfolio, as well as a lecturer at the Johns Hopkins University. She has spent over a dozen years working on national security challenges, including two deployments with the U.S. Army, teaching for the U.S. Air Force, and conducting numerous policy and adversary analyses for the defense and intelligence communities.
