About

The Cooperation for Global Maritime Security is not a formal alliance, and it is not led by any particular nation, agency, or organization.  Rather, it is a loose affiliation of nations, private enterprise and people working together to improve safety and security at sea and across the maritime domain through a free exchange of information.  This Cooperation is based upon shared concerns for ensuring maritime security, and participation is driven by common goals and interests.  The benefits of mutual assistance will be shared by all nations, without regard to each country's level of participation in the endeavor.

Any nation, organization or individual can choose to participate, and the level of involvement can be based on available resources, operating area, ability to project or contribute to security, and shared national or individual ideals.  This endeavor will help participants identify common ground, and create a cooperative environment that will enhance maritime security to the benefit of all affiliates.
