C2 - Cooperation and Coordination

Instead of a structure based upon command and control, the Cooperation for Global Maritime Security is a self-organizing entity based on the coordinated and cooperative support of its participants.  To provide initial coordination a non-partisan group will facilitate the early efforts of the Cooperation by providing a venue for dialog and discussion, as well as a problem-solving forum.  This international group is comprised of researchers and analysts, expert in the field of maritime security and related issues.  The group will assist participants in identifying common issues and aid in the development of international solutions that reach across regional boundaries.  Additionally, the coordinating group will work with the Cooperation to inform private industry and government leadership of emerging challenges within the maritime domain.

As an informal alignment, any nation, organization or individual may join the Cooperation for Global Maritime Security.  Participants are encouraged to contribute, but passive participation is welcomed.
