Brock A. Wester

Dr. Brock Wester is an assistant program manager of Biological and Chemical Sciences in APL’s Research and Exploratory Development Mission Area. He oversees research teams with foci in connectomics; brain–computer interfaces; neuroscience inspired and derived artificial intelligence; intelligent systems; and human machine interaction. Dr. Wester is the vice chair of the Johns Hopkins Engineering for Professionals Applied Biomedical Engineering program and teaches courses in neuroengineering and instrumentation. Additional areas of expertise include software engineering, virtual and augmented reality, computational neuroscience and neural modeling, human-machine teaming, and traumatic brain injury.
